FluoSolv®
FluoSolv® Specialty Fluids product line is designed for precision vapor-degreasing applications that require a relatively low-boiling solvent. FluoSolv® products are azeotropic blends of fluorinated solvents, which make the solvents non-toxic, non-flammable as well as non-ozone depleting. Most FluoSolv® solvent blends have a very low global warming potential.
Drop-in Replacement for TCE, nPB, Methylene Chloride, and PFAS containing Solvents
Field testing and lab evaluations have found that solvent blends from the FluoSolv® Vapor-Degreasing product line, specifically FluoSolv® CX and FluoSolv® HT-G20, are excellent substitutes for n-Propyl Bromide (nPB), Trichloroethylene (TCE), Methylene Chloride, PFAS-containing chemicals, and 3M Novec. FluoSolv® HT-G20 is also PFAS-free.
For those requiring a Boeing-approved product to BAC 5408, our FluoSolv® 5408 is the product of choice for your vapor degreasing needs. It is PFAS Free and a great replacement for 3M Novec vapor degreasing chemicals.

Trichloroethylene is a hazardous air pollutant (HAP) and chemically unstable when exposed to continuous boiling as in a vapor-degreasing process. Similarly, n-Propyl Bromide and Methylene Chloride is also chemically unstable, in addition to the fact that it has human carcinogenicity associated with them.

NuGenTec offers a small loaner vapor degreaser and a loaner 5-gallon pail to assist with your testing. The loaner vapor degreaser plugs into a standard wall outlet and fits on a standard pallet. This allows you to test our Fluosolv solvent in your own controlled environment without immediately changing the solvent in your current equipment.

WASHINGTON – Today, Dec. 9, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the latest risk management rules for trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE) under the bipartisan 2016 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) amendments, marking another major milestone for chemical safety after decades of inadequate protections and serious delays. These protections align with President Biden’s Cancer Moonshot, a whole-of-government approach to end cancer as we know it.
TCE is an extremely toxic chemical known to cause liver cancer, kidney cancer, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. TCE also causes damage to the central nervous system, liver, kidneys, immune system, reproductive organs, and fetal heart defects. These risks are present even at very small concentrations. Under today’s rule, all uses of TCE will be banned over time (with the vast majority of identified risks eliminated within one year), and safer alternatives are readily available for the majority of uses.
