TCE and nPB have been classically used, however, due to the hazards associated with these chemicals they are being phased out. NuGenTec has better and safer alternatives. FluoSolv Ten-X has an industry proven track record as perhaps the best solvent for vapor degreasing of all soils encountered by the ball bearing remanufacturing/rebuilding marketplace. AquaKlean STC-HT should be your product of choice for industrial spray washing systems. Water-based, effective on all soils ball bearing rebuilders face such as greases, oils, hydrocarbons, dirt, particulate matter and stubborn soil combinations of greases, paraffins, and particulates. Use AquaKlean STC-HT at 1-5% by volume with water. For those who need a non-corrosive choice for spray cleaning, we recommend AquaKlean SUS.

For ultrasonic cleaning systems/tanks:

CitraKlean Clear should be your product of choice for ultrasonic cleaning systems. Water-based, effective on all soils ball bearing rebuilders face like greases, oils, hydrocarbons, dirt, particulate matter and stubborn soil combinations of greases, paraffins, and particulates. Thermophysical properties of NuTherm™ HC & PF

The NuTherm™ HC & PF series has superior thermophysical properties in comparison to traditional closed and open system heat transfer fluids, including higher thermal conductivity and specific heat, as well as lower viscosity, making it an extraordinarily more efficient system coolant within its operational temperature range. The NuTherm™ HC series is non-hazardous, biodegradable, CFC-free, antimicrobial, and has exceptional thermal stability at high temperatures in comparison to glycols, PAG’s, Calcium Chloride, Trichloroethylene and Methylene Chloride (Dichloromethane) making it an intelligent alternative.

Heat Transfer Fluids Resistant to Corrosion

The NuTherm™ PF and HC series is formulated with an incredibly robust and efficient corrosion inhibition package, allowing the product to be used on most metals including Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Cast Steel, Copper and its alloys (Brass & Bronze), Monel, Nickel, Hastelloy, Inconel, Tantalum, Titanium, Titanium alloys (Ti6Al4V), Aluminium and Cast Iron. Do not use on Zinc, Zinc-plated or galvanized metals, Magnesium. NuTherm™ PF and HC corrosion tests at 80 °C show incredible results of x mmpy (x mpy) on C260 Brass alloys, x mmpy (x mpy) on 304L Stainless Steel, and x mmpy (x mpy) on AL1100 Aluminium.

NuTherm™ PF and HC does not produce pitting corrosion on Aluminium alloys like other Potassium Formate open or closed bath heat transfer fluids.

*mmpy = millimeters per year; mpy = mils per year (1 mil = 0.001 inch); In general, uniform corrosion rates less than 2 mpy are acceptable for most applications. Corrosion rates between 2 and 10 mpy are considered marginal and may impact useful life of the equipment. Corrosion rates greater than 10 mpy per year are unacceptable.

• Availability: 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon tote-bins, and bulk tankers.
• Shipment: Non-Hazardous for transport via DOT, IMDG, and IATA.
• Storage: Keep out of direct sunlight. Keep from freezing. Store between 4 to 38°F (40-100°F).

NuGenTec FluoSolv® formulated solvents have been used in many applications in the optics industry such as precision cleaning, deposition of anti-reflective & anti-static coatings and de-blocking. Many different types of pitch and wax are used for blocking during grinding and polishing of glass to make spherical and plano-optical components. FluoSolv CX® is a safe drop-in replacement for Asahiklin AK-225 solvent (Class II ODC) as well as nPB and other similar solvents.

FluoSolv® CX has shown excellent solvency when used in a vapor-degreaser for removal of pitch (e.g. Trinidad, Gugolz) and wax (e.g. Fixturewax, Hypo Wax etc.) due to its Kb value being high (95-100).

Higher soil loading allows the solvent bath to last longer before replacement, resulting in cost savings for new solvent and lower production downtime.
