About FluoSolv® 71IPA
FluoSolv® 71IPA is a high-performance azeotropic cleaning fluid engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 71IPA Engineered Fluid. Formulated from methoxy-nonafluorobutane (HFE-7100) and isopropyl alcohol (IPA), FluoSolv® 71IPA combines the excellent wetting, material compatibility and rapid drying characteristics of a fluorinated fluid with the cleaning effectiveness of IPA.
It is particularly well suited for precision cleaning, rinsing and drying applications involving fingerprints, particulates, light oils, greases and other light soils. Its low surface tension allows penetration into complex geometries and tight spaces, while its azeotropic behavior provides consistent performance in vapor degreasing, immersion, ultrasonic and co-solvent cleaning processes.
