About FluoSolv® 72DA
FluoSolv® 72DA is a high-performance azeotropic solvent blend engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 72DA Engineered Fluid. Formulated from methyl nonafluorobutyl ether, ethyl nonafluorobutyl ether, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene (t-DCE), and isopropyl alcohol (IPA), FluoSolv® 72DA combines high solvency, low surface tension, nonflammability, and stable composition during evaporation and boiling for demanding vapor-degreasing and immersion-cleaning processes.
Designed for medium- to heavy-duty precision cleaning and defluxing, FluoSolv® 72DA effectively removes rosin solder flux residues, oils, greases, waxes, and other difficult organic soils. The IPA component enhances removal of polar and ionic contaminants, making FluoSolv® 72DA particularly well suited for electronics and other critical-cleaning applications requiring both organic and ionic residue removal.
