About FluoSolv® 71DA
FluoSolv® 71DA is a high-performance azeotropic solvent blend engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 71DA Engineered Fluid. Combining hydrofluoroether (HFE), trans-1,2-dichloroethylene (t-DCE), and ethanol, FluoSolv® 71DA provides increased solvency, low surface tension, and consistent composition during boiling for precision vapor degreasing, defluxing, rinsing, and drying applications.
The ethanol component enhances removal of ionic contaminants and flux residues, making FluoSolv® 71DA particularly effective for electronics and other high-reliability cleaning applications. Its low boiling point, nonflammability, zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), and excellent wetting characteristics provide an effective alternative to legacy ozone-depleting cleaning solvents and selected aqueous processes.
FluoSolv® 71DA can also be used as a precision coating solvent for silicones, lubricants, and other specialty materials. Contact NuGenTec technical experts for assistance evaluating FluoSolv® 71DA as a replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 71DA in your cleaning process.
