About FluoSolv® 71DE
FluoSolv® 71DE is a medium-duty, nonflammable azeotropic cleaning solvent engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 71DE Engineered Fluid. Its combination of hydrofluoroether (HFE) and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene (t-DCE) provides increased solvency, low surface tension and constant composition during boiling, making it well suited for vapor degreasing, immersion cleaning, rinsing and drying.
FluoSolv® 71DE effectively removes oils, greases, waxes and other organic soils from precision components while providing zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and broad compatibility with metals and solvent-resistant materials. Its azeotropic behavior also makes it suitable for selected specialty coating and lubricant deposition applications.
