About FluoSolv® 7200
FluoSolv® 7200 is a high-performance hydrofluoroether (HFE) engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 7200 Engineered Fluid. Composed of ethoxy-nonafluorobutane (HFE-7200), FluoSolv® 7200 is a clear, colorless, low-odor fluid combining low surface tension, low viscosity, chemical and thermal stability, nonflammability and broad material compatibility.
Its higher boiling point helps reduce evaporative solvent losses while providing excellent wetting and penetration for precision cleaning, rinsing, cold cleaning and selected vapor-degreasing applications.
Beyond cleaning, FluoSolv® 7200 is well suited as a carrier fluid for fluoropolymers, lubricants and specialty coatings, as well as a dispersion medium, extraction solvent and secondary heat-transfer fluid. Its zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and stable physical properties make it a versatile alternative to legacy CFC, HCFC, HFC and PFC fluids across a broad range of industrial applications.
Contact NuGenTec technical experts for assistance evaluating FluoSolv® 7200 as a replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 7200 in your cleaning, coating or heat-transfer process.
