About NuEtch Cu-PE
NuEtch Cu-PE is a high-performance chemical milling and photo-etching solution engineered for copper and copper alloys including brass and bronze. Its controlled etching action removes exposed metal while preserving protected features, helping maintain sharp dimensional definition and minimize common photo-etch defects.
Unlike conventional ferric-chloride and hydrochloric-acid etchants, NuEtch Cu-PE is completely chloride-free. Its nitric-acid/ferric-sulfate chemistry incorporates a low-foaming wetting system and corrosion-inhibition package to support uniform metal removal while reducing undercutting, flecks, voids, pinholes, spurs and notches.
NuEtch Cu-PE can be used in both immersion and spray processes from ambient temperature through 140°F. Its broad process window allows temperature and dwell time to be adjusted to achieve the required etch rate, feature definition and finished geometry across a range of copper-alloy chemical-milling applications.
