ABOUT AQUAKLEAN® EF145

AquaKlean® EF145 is a highly alkaline liquid cleaner and etchant engineered for heavy-duty metal cleaning and controlled aluminum surface etching. Its low-foam chemistry removes inks, polishing and buffing compounds, grease, oils, fingerprints, drawing compounds, and metalworking fluids while aggressively etching aluminum and aluminum alloys.

AquaKlean® EF145 is formulated to combine cleaning and etching in a single process while helping reduce residue, scale, and sludge accumulation in process tanks. It can also be used for cleaning ferrous and non-ferrous metals, providing a versatile option for demanding metal-finishing operations.

Suitable for both spray and immersion processing, AquaKlean® EF145 performs from ambient temperature through elevated-temperature cleaning and etching. It is safe on magnesium, while cuprous alloys should be evaluated for potential discoloration before production use.
