About NuTherm® HC-40

NuTherm® HC-40 is a high-performance potassium formate/water heat-transfer fluid engineered for closed-loop systems requiring excellent low-temperature protection and efficient thermal transfer. With a freezing point of −50°C (−58°F), high thermal conductivity, high specific heat, and exceptionally low viscosity, NuTherm® HC-40 provides an efficient alternative to conventional glycol, PAG, and calcium chloride heat-transfer fluids.

NuTherm® HC-40 is nonflammable, biodegradable, zero-VOC, and formulated with a robust corrosion-inhibition package for use with a broad range of common metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, cast iron, copper and copper alloys, nickel alloys, titanium, and aluminum. Its combination of low viscosity and favorable thermophysical properties helps reduce pumping resistance while promoting efficient heat transfer across refrigeration, process-cooling, data-center secondary cooling, and other demanding thermal-management systems.

Contact NuGenTec technical experts for assistance evaluating NuTherm® HC-40 for your closed-loop heat-transfer, refrigeration, process-cooling, or low-temperature thermal-management system.
