NuGenTec Rust Remover is a highly alkaline, chelated powder formulated for rust stripping and descaling of ferrous-metal components. Unlike acid-based rust removers, its high-pH chemistry preferentially removes iron oxides without attacking the underlying steel or iron, helping manufacturers maintain critical dimensional tolerances during restoration and surface-preparation processes.

The non-acid formulation also helps avoid hydrogen-embrittlement concerns associated with conventional acidic rust-removal treatments. In addition to derusting and descaling, Rust Remover can provide heavy-duty degreasing and paint-stripping performance, allowing multiple cleaning functions to be performed separately or simultaneously in the same process.

Rust Remover is used across metal processing, food, petroleum and oil-and-gas, railroad and other industrial applications. It may also be used for removing light-to-medium heat scale from titanium and for cleaning molds in rubber-manufacturing operations. The product meets the cleaning requirements of Federal Specification TT-C-490C, Method V and is formulated not to attack ferrous-metal parts.
