Introduction
FluoSolv® 8200 is a clear, colorless, low-odor solvent engineered to replace 1,1,1‑trichloroethane (TCA) and perchloroethylene (Perc) in precision film cleaning applications. Designed as an exact drop-in replacement for 3M Novec 8200, it features low surface tension, enhanced solvency, high boiling point, thermal and chemical stability, non-flammability, and exceptional compatibility with film substrates.
Applications
FluoSolv® 8200 is optimized for high-throughput, automated film cleaning systems—specifically retrofitting TCA or Perc-based cleaning lines—offering competitive speed and cost-per-clean performance in film and media restoration processes.
Material Compatibility
FluoSolv® 8200 fluid demonstrates compatibility with a wide range of metals, plastics and elastomers. As with most fluorinated liquids, Novec 8200 fluid will absorb into fluorinated plastics and elastomers over longer exposures.
