Introduction

FluoSolv® 72FL is a safe, nonflammable solvent blend specifically formulated for cold cleaning of aircraft surfaces, controls, connectors, relays, circuit breakers, and electromechanical components. It effectively removes light oils, greases, silicones, fluorolubes, dust, and particulates. Designed to leave no residues or require rinsing, it delivers excellent plastic compatibility, fast drying, low odor, and a low environmental impact.

Applications

FluoSolv® 72FL is ideal for cold cleaning (flush, wipe, and spray) of aircraft surfaces, including flaps, controls, connectors, and electromechanical devices. Also excellent for removing seals-compromising hydraulic fluids without affecting corrosion-inhibiting coatings. Not intended for vapor degreasing due to its non-azeotropic formulation.

Material Compatibility

FluoSolv® 72FL exhibits excellent compatibility with a wide range of materials:

• Plastics: ABS, PMMA (acrylic), nylon, POM, polycarbonate/Lexan, PP, HDPE, PS, CDPE, PTFE, phenolic resins, PVC—“excellent” compatibility reported.
• Test results also show compliance for corrosion tests (F1110 Sandwich, F485 Residue, F945 Stress Corrosion, F502 Paint Softening, F519 Hydrogen Embrittlement) comparable to CFC-113, validating its safe use on diverse aerospace materials.

Free Solvent Sample and Vapor Degreaser for Testing

NuGenTec offers a small loaner vapor degreaser and a loaner 5-gallon pail to assist with your testing. The loaner vapor degreaser plugs into a standard wall outlet and fits on a standard pallet. This allows you to test our FluoSolv® solvent in your own controlled environment without immediately changing the solvent in your current equipment.

FluoSolv® 72FL is available for purchase in three package sizes:

• 55-gal phenolic lined metal drums
• 5-gal phenolic lined pails
• 1-gal HDPE plastic bottles
