Introduction

FluoSolv® 71DA is an azeotropic blend of hydrofluoroether, methyl nonafluorobutyl ether, and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, with added ethanol. By definition, this mixture is consistent at its boiling point making it a true azeotrope.

FluoSolv® 71DA has been created for degreasing and defluxing with added benefits of replacing many environmentally harmful blends that have high global warming potentials. This blend has zero ozone depleting potential.

The US Environmental Protection Agency has labeled all components as without restrictions.


Applications

NuGenTec FluoSolv® 71DA is recommended in arenas tending to cleaning, rinsing, drying, and coating. Further:

  • Cleaning of oils, greases, waxes, handling oils, and solder flux residue.
  • Precision coating of silicones and other lubricants.


Material Compatibility

FluoSolv® 71DA is compatible with all metals, ceramic and other non-conducting materials. Most elastomeric materials are compatible except fluoroelastomers such as Viton & Kalrez which tend to swell. It is recommended that all materials be tested prior to use.

Free Solvent Sample and Vapor Degreaser for Testing

NuGenTec offers a small loaner vapor degreaser and a loaner 5-gallon pail to assist with your testing. The loaner vapor degreaser plugs into a standard wall outlet and fits on a standard pallet. This allows you to test our FluoSolv® solvent in your own controlled environment without immediately changing the solvent in your current equipment.

FluoSolv® 71DA is available for purchase in three package sizes:

  • 55-gal phenolic lined metal drums (net wt. 550)
  • 5-gal phenolic lined pails (net wt. 52.5 lb.)
  • 1-gal HDPE plastic bottles (net wt. 11 lb.)
