NuSolv™ PNPB - High Polarity, High-Performance Cleaning Solvent

Highly polar, high performance cleaning solvent ideal for use in electronics and circuit assembly defluxing, removal of solder fluxes, pastes, ionic residues, particulates, greases, resins, inks, silicone oils, buffing compounds, drawing oils and lapping compounds.

Description:dirty circuit board

NuGeneration Technologies’ NuSolv™ PNPB is a stabilized, true azeotropic formula used to remove solder fluxes, pastes, ionic residues, particulates, greases, resins, inks, silicone oils, buffing compounds, drawing oils and lapping compounds from a variety of surfaces including electronic and circuit assemblies, ferrous and non-ferrous alloys including Copper, Copper alloys (brass, bronze, etc.), Nickel, steel, stainless steel, Titanium, Zinc, and Aluminum.

Characteristics:

NuSolv PNPB was formulated to be used at both ambient temperatures for cold-cleaning/wipe applications as well as at elevated temperatures for vapor phase cleaning.  NuSolv PNPB contains a mixture of solvents, allowing for effective removal of a wide variety of soils.  NuSolv PNPB has very high solvency, with a Kb value of >150, and a polarity 80% greater than that of non-polar nPB (based on Hansen Solubility Parameters), making it a superior drop-in replacement for trichloroethylene (TCE), perchloroethylene (PCE), methylene chloride (MeCl), and expensive alternatives such as hydrofluorocarbons (HFC’s) and hydrofluoroethers (HFE’’s), as well as an alternative to Standard non-polar nPB.  NuSolv PNPB is a non-flammable solvent and is SNAP approved due to its negligible impact on the ozone layer.

Directions for Use:

NuSolv PNPB is used at 100% concentration, and is effective at ambient temperatures in cold cleaning and wipe applications.  However, it can also be used up to 55 °C (130 °F) for 5 seconds to 5 minutes for vapor phase cleaning.  The parameters can vary due to the type and extent of soils to be removed.
